This opens a modal with multiple options:

Number Of Lanes / Nup On A Sheet

This is the only required field for starting a calculation. You use this to enter how many up on a sheet/across a roll you want to impose.

If using a ‘die’, this number is prepopulated from the ‘Imposition Requirements’ filed ‘Imposition Block NUP’:

LABELS PER ROLL

This can be used when a roll requires a specific number per roll. When calculated, the runs produced will take this number into account to make sure all produced rolls will have that qty.

MAX OVERS PER KIND

This can be set to a quantity or a percentage. When runs are calculated, this number will be used to ensure no items go over the allowed number of overs.

This can be left blank if you do not want to apply any overs limits.

OPTMIZE FOR

There is two options here:

Least Waste – Runs are calculated based on producing the least number of overs. The number or runs is not considered. This option is best for digital print where plates and press makeready are not a major consideration.

Least Runs – Runs are calculated with a priority on producing as few runs as possible. This is the best option when running on an offset or flexo press where plates and makereadys are a major consideration.

CHECKBOX OPTION – Limit kind to single run

With this ON, we will not split a kind across multiple runs.

Checkbox Option – Per Kind

This will calculate each kind to be on its own dedicated run. 1 kinds equals 1 run.

When calculated, the runs will be displayed at the bottom. And overs produced will also be flagged:

You must click ‘Save & Close’ in the modal and then ‘Get Price’ on the quote to calculate the quote workings.

Manual Run Building

Runs can be built manually by using the checkbox options. You can select what kinds you want to add to a run and ‘Calculate’:

That run will be added:

You can then work your wany through the kinds and manually build out the runs as you go.

When working like this, ‘Calculate’ will add the run to your existing list or you have an additional option to ‘Discard then Calculate’:

This will remove any existing runs that contain the selected kinds and replace them with the new run you are adding.

Any existing run can have the quantity changed under the ‘Edit Run’ option:

A modal will show allowing a new run qty to be entered:
