DELIVERIES - Consignments




CONSIGNMENTS - SIMPLE WORKFLOW


 

Once a job is in the status of 'Finished Production' it will be available on the Dispatch Board (Production > Dispatch Board).


To prepare the job (or jobs) for dispatch, select the Job(s) by placing a tick in the checkbox on the Left Hand Side and then click on the 'Dispatch Selected' button:



NOTE: The Delivery Address needs to be the same when Dispatching multiple jobs to a consignment


 




 



PACKAGE OPTIONS - Yes:


Clicking 'Yes' to package will automatically place the item labels into a package and then place the package into the Consignment:


 



To complete the process click Generate:



 






An auto generated consignment number will be created. To change the Consignment Number, click on the number, change it and 'Save':  






The Consignment number is added to the 'Connote' field in the dispatch detail screen and the status updated to "Dispatched'.
Note: To see the dispatch details, return to the Job details page then click on the Dispatch tab, see below

 



 


PACKAGE - No:


Clicking 'No' will just place the label items into the 'Consignment' without packaging them:


 






 


 

Click 'Generate':

 



To change the consignment number, click on it, update as required and 'Save':

 



The Consignment number is added to the dispatch detail and the status changed to "Dispatched'.


Note: To see the Dispatch detail, return to the Job details page then click on the Dispatch tab, see below:


 




 


 


CONSIGNMENTS - ADVANCED WORKFLOW


 




In this example we are printing 1000 business cards.




There will be 5 boxes containing 200 business cards per box.

We will then place the 5 boxes into a single carton and finally produce a Consignment.

 

Step 1: From the Dispatch board, drop down the tool bar and select 'Job Details':





 




Step 2 : From the 'Job Details' screen, drop down the tool bar and select 'Manage Labels':  






 



The following pop up window appears. Enter '5' in the quantity field. Drop down the print tool bar and select 'Component':
NOTE:     Addressed: shows the item detail and also the address    and      Component: just shows the detail of the item [No Address]




 

The system will produce a 5 page PDF. Print the labels out and stick them to each of the 5 boxes:




 


Step 3: To create the 'Package', click the package icon:


 




 


The following screen appears. Adjust the quantity of each box by clicking on the quantity:




 


Either place each of the 5 labels into the single package by clicking them across or scan them in with a barcode scanner:




 


Once all 5 labels are in the package, choose 'Addressed' from the print drop down. The system will produce the package label. Print it out and stick it to the carton.




 

To produce the 'Consignment', from the tool bar, click 'Generate Consignment'. The Consignment screen will appear:




Either scan or manually move the package into the 'Consignment'. Once done, click 'Generate':







Don't forget! if you need to change the consignment number, click on it and save:


 




To print out a copy of the 'Consignment', click the printer icon directly above the consignment number. A new page will appear with the 'Delivery Docket':
