Option to calculate shipping at a later point

Option to calculate shipping at a later point

Introduction

When using the single delivery option on Order Details/Checkout screen, users can control when shipping is calculated on a quote.
Instead of the system automatically calculating shipping prices, users can decide when printIQ does this calculation. However, a shipping price must be calculated before a quote can be accepted.

Setting

This is controlled by the back-end setting  'Automatically calculate freight when possible'.
Alert
Please reach out to printIQ support to configure this option.
When the setting is active, the system will calculate freight automatically in the standard way.
The setting needs to be inactive for this feature to be used. When it is inactive, the Price Shipping button must be clicked to calculate the shipping price.

Single Shipping Mode Only

Info
This feature is only available on 'Single' shipping mode

A 'Price Shipping' button will display within the quote’s shipping section:

If the 'Price Shipping' button has not been clicked, users will not be able to accept the quote and the shipping price will display as N/A in the price summary:

After 'Price Shipping' has been clicked, available shipping options will display on-screen. The price from the selected option will replace N/A in the pricing summary and it will be added to quote totals. The Complete Order button will become active:
