Required Setting
A setting added into the Production settings page
located under the Admin -> Application -> Customise menu option.
When enabled, the Factory Location selector will only
list factories that have valid production paths for the job.
If there is only one factory where the job can be
produced, the factory is displayed, but there is no drop-down selector. The
Factory Location field is simply a label in this case.
When there is more than one possible production path
at a second location, the drop-down chevron is visible next to the factory
location name…
Clicking the chevron will open the factory location
selector, allowing the job to be moved to a different factory location.
After selecting an alternative factory location, a
confirm modal appears…
After saving and closing, the operations on the job
are re-pointed to the machines and equipment at the new location.
If a job is moved from a digital location to an offset
location or vice-versa, operations are added, updated or removed as needed and
stock size and quantity is updated to suit the alternative factory location.
For example, a Platemaking operation and associated materials would be added.
Also spoil calculations may require more or less stock and pre-trim or post
print guillotine may be added or removed accordingly.
Important
Changing a Factory Location on a job will not automatically update the freight session details or prices.
Each freight entry will need to be edited and the 'From:' location changed to match the new factory's location before being re-calculated.
