Setup
printIQ has the ability to bring both IQStore items and Print Products together as kits which can be ordered as one item.
Please note kits are not supported through the widget.
Kits only work with Freight by Cart and the IQstore module. Click here for more information.
Kits are created and accessed from the Admin -> Factory Capabilities -> Manage Kits menu. They can be created through the GUI or uploaded via a CSV:
Kits can be made up from one or more IQStore item and/or one or more Print Product.

A kit cannot contain another kit (no ‘nested’ kits)
First step is to select the ‘Type’ of kit you want to create, ‘Static Quantity Kits’ or ‘Variable Quantity Kits’:
You will also see the kit type 'Product Range' in the dropdown list. This is greyed out because Product Range Kits cannot be created from here. For more information on Product Range kits click
here.
Static Quantity Kits
This method fixes the quantity of each item within the kit. You order only the number of kits required:
Variable Quantity Kits
This method allows the quantity of each item within the kit to be specified. You then enter the total number of kits required:
Next, you will need to provide a Code, Name, Description and Product Category for the kit and select the pricing method to apply it:
When Single Unit Price is selected the ‘Price’ field is activated and you just enter the price per kit.
When the Unit Price by Quantity is selected a new tab appears on the modal to add quantity / price breaks:
Price based on Items applies the prices set on each items’ definition including any customer / customer group specific pricing as well as quantity break pricing.
There are optional fields for revenue and expense GL accounts as wll as Customer and Customer Group access restrictions.
As with other IQ entities, a Kit image can be uploaded against the kit definition to help identify it when adding to a quote.
Select the required products that will make up this kit. Include the quantity of each product included in the kit. ‘Groups’ can be added to separate items:

Kit Orders
Kits are accessed through the Simplified Products/Quick Quotes portal. Navigate to the category containing the kit you want to order:
Enter the quantity to what you wish to order:
You can click the 'Click to view items button' to see the items contained inside the kit:
Add to cart and proceed to checkout and process the quote to a job as per the standard printIQ production or IQstore workflow.
Editing Kit Pricing
Quote
On the Order Details screen, there is an 'Edit Kit Items prices' button:
Click here to open the 'Kit Item Price Adjustment' modal where pricing can be adjusted by item unit price, a percentage or by total price:
Items can also be multi-selected and pricing adjustments can be applied at an overall level:
Once a price has been adjusted an orange icon will appear telling the user the type of adjustment that has been made. The 'Save & Close' button must be clicked to apply these changes:
If pricing is adjusted at an overall level outside the 'Kit Item Price Adjustment' modal, when the modal is re-opened items will display that percentage changes applied:
Job/Sales Order
Details of any pricing adjustments made on the quote can be seen on the job or sales order by opening the Kit Items modal:
Hovering on the orange icon will display additional information about the adjustment such as the username and the original unit price.
Edit Kit Quantity
On the job details screen a kit icon will display when a product is part of a kit:
Clicking on this icon will bring up a modal where the quantities of all items in the kit are displayed:
Kit quantities can be edited by going to the 'Edit Kit' tab on the 'Edit Job' screen:
or by clicking the 'Edit Order' button on the Sales Order details screen.
Enter the new quantity and click the Update button for changes to be applied:
For a variable quantity kit the quantities can be updated at an item level:
