Updating the Freight Supplier Record
Before we set the integration information up in printIQ you need to make sure that you have activated the freight supplier NZ Post which is pre-defined in your system.
To do this you need to go to the ‘Customers’ board and select ‘Freight Company’ under the Types tab.
If you cannot see the NZ Post supplier, check that ‘Active Only’ is not ticked…
Open the NZ Post entry and check / update the Account Status, Account Manager and Credit Terms to suit your site.
Fill in all the information especially the information on the right in the grey box.
Update any other details about their account details and finally, flag them as Active and save the suppliers details.
Configuring the Freight Integration Link
To configure the connection, you will need the following information from NZ Post:
- A client ID
- An account number
- A client secret
- A URL
- A NZ Post Site Code(s)
An individual NZ Post Site Code is required for each Factory Location you wish to dispatch from.
To set up Freight integration you need to navigate to the Admin menu and select Freight Integration…
Select NZ Post from the list of available freight providers…
This will open the configuration details for NZ Post.
From the details provided by NZ Post, fill out the fields highlighted above.
Enable Rating allows control over whether the freight pricing is sourced from the integration or from internally defined freight rules.
The Reference Source allows configuring a reference field that appears on the NZ Post dispatch label.
Order Reference is the Job or Sales Order number, including the ‘-SI’ suffix on sales orders. This is a comma separated list for clients using Freight by Cart.
Base Order Reference is the order number without any ‘-SI’ suffix…
Series Code can be added at quote time or after the job is in production.
It offers a means of linking orders together
When selected in the integration it will be printed on the labels…
PO Number is the customers PO number for the order.
Updating Factory Address
Navigate to Admin >> Configuration >> Factory Locations.
Click the Edit button of the factory to dispatch from.
Note the address loaded against that factory location…
Navigate to the Customers screen and filter for Site type entries.
Open the FACTORY site record.
Go to the address section and find the address used in the Factory Location settings above.
Open it and enter your unique NZ Post Site Code.
And Save it.
This field is controlled by a setting that printIQ staff can activate upon request.

Adding Markup to your Freight price and deciding which freight options you wish to offer.
If you wish to add Mark up to the freight price you receive back from the Freight provider you can control this on the Freight Admin screen under the ‘Delivery Types’ screen. This is available only on the screens to modify.
In this area you can also alter the visibility of what options you wish to show by setting the Active flag on each type.
Markup displaying on the Quote
Once a customer’s order has been dispatched, they can receive a ‘Job dispatched’ email. This email can be configured to present the Courier Name, Website and Consignment Information to so they can track and trace their own orders.
Note: Dispatch Emails for Pace deliveries will not have tracking details included. Pace orders are assigned a tracking code on pickup.
