NZ Post option for address autocomplete

NZ Post option for address autocomplete

printIQ has a direct integration to NZ Post which can replace the Google address lookup for New Zealand sites.
This functionality allows New Zealand addresses to be pulled directly into the system from NZ Post and prevents NZ Post rejecting deliveries due to incorrect addresses.
To control/configure this you (the printIQ customer) must have an NZ Post account. You must supply your own client ID and Secret to printIQ to use this option.

Three back-end settings need to configured:
  1. Address API
  2. Address NZPost Secret
  3. Address NZPost ClientID
These settings can only be accessed by printIQ support users

When the NZ Post ClientID/Secret are valid, NZ Post is selected in the Address API setting, and New Zealand is selected as the country in the address modal, the NZ Post search will be active.
New Zealand addresses will be pulled in from NZ Post instead of Google. The ‘Powered by Google’ icon will not display at the bottom of the address lookup dropdown:

When any country other than New Zealand is set in the address modal, our usual Google dropdown is shown:

Private Bag and PO Box numbers are also returned from NZ Post as well as physical addresses.
We advise leaving the Content String, ‘Address Modal Text’ blank. By default, this contains the text ‘We do not deliver to PO Boxes’. Content Strings are found under Branding:

When this is left blank, the line of text is removed from the address modal throughout the system:
