Inventory Auto Pick based on specified Job Status

Inventory Auto Pick based on specified Job Status

When Inventory Auto Pick is enabled in printIQ, all stocks, plates, inks and materials that are flagged as being ‘Managed’ are automatically picked from inventory when the job reaches a pre-set status. This maintains running stock levels on hand in Inventory.
However, if the job was going to spend some time in prepress, the stock issued to the job is not available to issue to other jobs without returning it back to stock and managing it manually.
Also, if the job needed to be edited and the stock requirements changed, the user must return the automatically picked stock and pick the new quantities and / or types of stocks.

With the setting Inventory – ‘Automatically Pick Stock’ enabled, inventory items that are flagged as ‘Managed’ are automatically ‘picked’ and issued to the job.

Please contact our customer support team to enable this function.

‘Managed’ inventory items retain a running balance of how much of that item is on hand at any given time and records all transactions in transaction files for each inventory item.
This can include paper, inks, plates and other materials.

The auto-pick can be set to occur when a specific job status is reached or passed:

Please contact our customer support team to enable/edit this setting.

If the Job Pick Status is set to  --None--  the stock pick occurs at quote acceptance time.
This is only recommended if you wish to pick the stock as soon as the job is accepted. Be aware that if the job is to be edited, the picked stock must be manually returned.

With the Job Status setting set to a status further along the life cycle of the job through production, when the job has reached or passes the Job Pick Status, and there is managed stock that has not been manually picked, printIQ will automatically pick the remaining stock for the job.

The stock pick will occur only once on a job.

Resetting the Job Status back to one before the Automatic Pick Status will not re-pick the stocks, even if all previously issued stocks have been returned.

If a job has not reached the Auto Pick Status and it is put On Hold or Cancelled, the automatic stock pick does not occur.
If reverted to an active status prior to the Auto Pick status, the stock will be picked once the status is reached.
If the status is set to the Auto Pick status or a later status, the stock will be picked on the status change.
