Setup
If you are setting stocks up that are trimmed out of larger sheets (Pre-Trim), you need to setup the ‘cutting rules’ so that you are able to quote on smaller sheet sizes that are able to fit on the presses that you have in the system.
Create Trim/Cut Stock Sizes
Navigate to the 'Stock Sizes' screen.
Fill in the name in of the stock size and be sure to add 'Trim' or 'Cut' at the end of the name. In this example we are creating a '320x450 Trim'. Fill in the sheet width and depth. Make sure that you tick on the 'Is Cut Stock' checkbox.
Example stock size:
Manually creating Stock Cutting Rules
After creating the trim stock sizes you will need to go into the ‘Stock Size Cutting Rules’ section you will see this screen.
Target Stock Size
Any stock sizes with ‘Cut Stock’ enabled will be available to select in the drop down list under Target Stock Size.

After selecting the Trim Stock Size in the drop down, more fields will display for the setup.
Parent Stock Size
This is the parent sheet size that has been purchased. If this size does not exist, this will need to be created on the Stock Sizes before a cutting rule can be set up.
Guillotine
This is the guillotine used for pre trimming stock.

Number of Cuts and Sheets
Number of Cuts is used to define how many cuts will be made to the parent sheet. Number of Sheets is used to note how many sheets will come from the parent sheet. This information is used to determine how long the guillotine will be in use as well as how many parent sheets are required for a quote.
Roll Length
If cutting sheets out of a Roll, enter the Roll Length used in meters

All fields except Parent Stock Size can be edited after creation.
When a stock that needs a pre-trim is used on a quote, you will see a 'Guillotining Pre-Trim' operation as part of the pricing components:
