Single Product Pricing

Single Product Pricing

Pricing methods and details for single products are set at the bottom of the Single Product Creation screen in the Pricing Configuration area...

There are 3 Pricing Methods available for Single Products

Fixed Quantities

With Fixed Quantities, none of the other fields above are used.

The quantities offered and the price for each quantity must be entered into the Edit Pricing Information modal.

Only quantities entered can be ordered. The price entered is for the TOTAL quantity...

In the above example, only 5 quantities are offered, for the fixed price as specified.

When this pricing method is selected the other pricing fields on the single products’ details screen are not used.

Single per unit Price by Quantity

Single per unit Price by Quantity requires the Pricing Flat Rate to be filled out as a ‘catch-all’ for quantities greater than what is set under the Extra Pricing Information.

Extra pricing Information is optional, and if nothing is set in it, IQ will use the Printing Flat Rate as the unit price.

Single per unit Price by Quantity allows configuring quantity-break pricing. The price entered using this pricing method is a per Unit price for ordered quantities up to the quantities specified in the pricing details grid.

For example, ordering 1 item will cost $1

Ordering 12 will cost $9.60 (12 being greater than 5 and less than 50, it will use the per unit price of 0.80 for the up to 50 quantity. 12 * 0.80 - $9.60)

For this pricing method, a ‘Catch-All’ price is required (for quantities greater than you may have defined in your pricing grid)

This is set in the ‘Pricing Flat Rate’ field in the Pricing Configuration area of the product definition. When the quantity ordered exceeds your highest quantity, this flat rate price comes into play as a Per Unit price.

With this added to the above example, any quantity of more than 100 ordered will be priced at $0.65 each.

To implement a ‘Per Unit’ price, irrespective of the quantity being ordered (i.e. no quantity breaks) simply enter a unit price into the Pricing Flat Rate field and leave the Pricing Information blank.

The Pricing Factor above has no impact on pricing calculations and is not used for this pricing method.

Percent Markups

With Fixed Markups, the optional Pricing Factor field is the only field that will impact this pricing method. This will override the Wholesale pricelist markup.

With this pricing method selected; with the exception of the Pricelist, all other fields in the Pricing Configuration can be left blank – including Extra Pricing Information…

When configured in this way, the Single Product will use the power of the IQ Quote pricing engine to calculate the products’ pricing.

Fixed Markups pricing method will reflect any changes in labour rates and / or material costs in your system when calculating the price.

The Pricing Factor, when used with this pricing method, will override the pricing factor of the selected wholesale pricelist...

In this case a 65% pricing factor is applied to all quantities of this product ordered.

Using the Edit Pricing Information, you can set the pricing factor based on quantity, kinds and maximum width and depth.

In this example we are basing the markup factor on quantities.

These are ‘up to’ quantities.

As a ‘catch-all’, for quantities ordered that are greater than the maximum quantity specified in the Pricing Information grid,
a Pricing Factor should be entered into the main single products’ details screen.

Finally the Retail pricelist markups (if any) are also applied to the final price calculation.
