Disclaimer: printIQ does not hold credit card credentials within the system. All Credit Card details are held by Banquest.
printIQ holds an encrypted token that is passed to Banquest to retrieve the Credit Card details for the payment.
The details stored by Banquest do not populate on the payment screen when selected.
For companies using the Banquest Payment Gateway, we can now pass the credit card credentials to Banquest to retain the details for future transactions.
There are 2 settings which printIQ support can implement relating to Banquest Saved Credit Cards.
These settings are:
When processing a payment through the Banquest Payment System, there is an option to save this card for later.
When this feature is enabled AND a credit card's details have been saved, the ‘Saved Credit Cards’ selector appears above the credit card number field displaying the last 4 digits of the credit cards…
If there are no saved credit cards for the invoice customer, the Saved Credit Card field does not show…
The ‘Save this card for later’ tick box appears after you enter the Credit Card number…
If it is ticked, then the Save Card Access selector appears with the option of ‘My User’ (the current logged in user) or ‘Any user of this customer’…
Selecting ‘Any user of this customer’ applies to any Internal user with a role included in the setting ‘Roles to use Shared customer Saved Credit Cards’.
It will also apply to Customer Users if they too have a role associated to them that is included in the above setting.
When ‘Allow saving Credit Card details for Banquest’ is enabled and a Customer role is not included in the ‘Roles to use Shared Customer Saved Credit Cards' setting, the Customer user will be able to save and access their saved Credit Card details. However, they will not be able to select a credit card saved by any other user.
They also do not get the Saved Credit Card Access option… (the details are saved for them only).
The above example shows a user without a role in the 'Roles to use Shared Customer Saved Credit Cards’ setting, saving their CC Details. This credit card will only be available to this user.
The same user CAN save the details of more Credit cards. They will presented to this user only.
How it works:
When the CC details are sent to Banquest to store, Banquest sends a Token back to your printIQ which is encrypted and stored against the Customer details in the database along with the last 4 digits of the credit card number in the format XXX XXX XXX 1234.
When subsequent orders are being processed through the payment system, if the user has a qualifying role, any tokens available to that user are presented on the Banquest Payment System in the form of the masked Credit Card number…
The user simply selects the relevant card.
None of the credentials are loaded as they are not needed…
(the month and year below were pre-populated with the current month and year when the screen loads)
After clicking Submit, we send the token back to Banquest along with the payment details to process the payment.
If all is good, you should get a successful payment summary…
And the job proceeds through production as normal.
