QUOTING - Pre-defined Pack Rates


 

QUOTING FOR PRE-DEFINED PACK RATES


When quoting for predefined/ contractual per pack rates the quote would include all the individual operations that the ‘pack’ operation is to include as well as the single ‘pack’ operation.


In this example the ‘pack’ operation is ‘Cont B&W A4, 3 into a DLX’ and includes the following:
  • Black laser print set up
  • Black laser print A4
  • Machine insert set up
  • Machine insert up to 3 items to DLX
  • Fold set up
  • Fold A4 to DL

 


 


When you ‘Get Price’ you will see a list of all the operations. They will all have a price. You then need to ‘zero’ out the pricing on the operations included in the ‘pack’ leaving the price to come from the single ‘pack’ operation:

 


 

Now the only price is from the ‘pack’ operation but all the operations are still there for production:

 


 

The description will now include all operations:

 


 

The quote letter will show all the operations with a $0 value and the pack operation with a price.

 


 

The operations will show correctly on the planning board:

 


 

And on the job bag:

 


 

The invoice will then just include the ‘pack’ operation as operations with a $0 value do not show:
