QUOTING - Custom - Advanced Production Options

ADVANCED PRODUCTION OPTIONS

When custom quoting in PrintIQ we have to seperate access points to 'Advanced Production options'.

One under the individual 'section' and one under the overall 'job' details:

'Advanced Production options' give you additional options in order to further customise your quote.
When used under the 'section', settings apply to the individual section only and when used under the 'job' the can be set once here and automatically applied to all 'sections'.

SECTION:
The 'section' screen views as:

Preferred Stock Size:

You can manually select the stock size you would like to quote on:

NUp Override & Bleed Override:

You can manually override the quoted number up and the default bleed settings.
The 'Hard Override' is only available when a sheet 'Preferred Stock Size' is chosen. You can then specify any number up in the sheet as required:

Imposition Orientation:

You can manually alter the default orientation settings when a job is required to be imposed in a particular direction on a sheet/roll.
Multi Direction - Will impose the job in both landscape and portrait in order to fit as many as possible on the sheet
Single Direction - Will impose the job in a single direction using the direction that will get the most up on the sheet
Portrait - Will impose the job only in a portrait direction along the width of the sheet
Landscape - Will impose the job only in a landscape direction:

Grip Override:

You can manually alter the default grip settings:

Tiled:

You can use the 'tiling' option when the job you need to quote must be broken into smaller sections due to substrate size limitations:

Imposition Block:

This is useful when you have a job that needs to be printed and then trimmed down to 'blocks' for additional finishing later. By default IQ imposes the jobs using the job size plus the bleed. In some cases you may need to impose the job a specified number up on a minimum sheet size for additional finishing. This allows you to override the default imposition.
In this example, we need to print 90x55mm business cards 4up to be trimmed to a block (sheet) size of 250x150mm for embossing.
You can also specify information such as number around and across a cylinder (and gap across and around) for rotary press and label printing:

Run Quantity:

This is only used in conjunction with 'Advanced Quantity Mode'.

JOB:
The 'job' screen views as:

You will see a few of the same options as were available in the 'section' window.

There is also the following additional options:

Calculate Other Methods:

This is used in conjunction with 'Preferred Stock Size'.
You can select a stock size and it will use the selection as the default. It will also calculate other methods at the same time.
With this checked off, it will only calculate the size selected:

Weight, Volume & Carton Quantity:

Weight - Overrides system calculated weight with manual entry (grams per 1 item)

Volume - Reference only. No background calculation is done.

Cartons - Reference only. No background calculation is done.

Tier & Pricelist Overrides:

You can manually override the customers default tier and pricelist setting on a quote by quote basis:
