Adding Notes to Multiple parts of a Job - using References

Putting Notes on Multiple Parts of Job.

Notes on Multiple Parts of a Job (ie. carried to several job tickets/dockets)

When you want to have notes show up on multiple parts the same job (which generate multiple dockets) you use references which can pull from the quote into the many parts you have created.

Create A Quote Reference

1. Go to admin - and down to References (or click on the magnifier and search for References)

2. Change the drop-down to QUOTES and open one of the inactive quote references

(make sure you choose QUOTE and not QUOTE PRODUCT)
3 .When creating (or activating a reference):

• Choose they TYPE text
• Name it
• Make sure it is ACTIVE

Create the JOB Reference

1. Under Reference change from QUOTE to JOB

2. Build your Job Reference

• Use the TEXT as the type

• Use the same NAME as you did for the QUOTE REFERENCE

• Make sure it is ACTIVE

• Copy the contents from the QUOTE

• Choose the NOTES for JOB (or whatever you called it) on your  QUOTE REFERENCE.

Create Your Quote & add the NOTE

1. Now when you create your quotes... you will have a reference that relates to them all:

2. Enter the NOTE you require to carry through to all jobs before you ACCEPT the JOBs (in the example we've entered "note to show on all jobs"

View the JOB

1. When you turn them into a job - the NOTE will show up on all jobs - in our example there are two products on the same quote:

Both the jobs will get their associated note.

2. Inside the each Job Details the note will show up:
Job 01 -

Job -02
