Power BI - User Licensing FAQ

printIQ Power BI Licensing FAQ – What You Need to Know

  • Q: Who gets a complimentary Power BI license?

A: Customers with the IQAnalytics module receive one complimentary Power BI Pro license as part of the migration to Power BI.

This license is linked to one nominated printIQ user at your organisation. To set this up, you provide us with that user's email address and we add them to our system and assign the license.

If you do not have the IQAnalytics module, you can still view and use reports inside printIQ — you just won't have direct access to the Power BI portal or desktop apps.

  •  Q: What can everyone do without a license?

A: All printIQ users — regardless of whether they have a Power BI license — can do the following at no extra cost:

  • Q: Need more than one licensed user?

A:The complimentary license covers one user. If you need additional licensed users, you have two options:

Option 1 – Purchase additional licenses through Microsoft

Additional Power BI Pro licenses can be purchased directly from Microsoft at microsoft.com or through your Microsoft 365 admin portal. Once purchased, contact us with the user's email address and we will link them to your printIQ workspace.

Option 2 – Use an existing Microsoft Power BI account

If a user at your organisation already has a Power BI Pro or Premium license as part of their existing Microsoft subscription, we can link that account to your printIQ workspace. Please contact us with the user's Microsoft email address and we will advise on next steps.
