Planning & Operations Board

The following outlines the planning features in IQ.

Job Details Screen

Enter the job's due date

Job Planning

Select the ‘Job Planning’ option by clicking the hamburger menu:


The ‘Job Planning’ screen will open. This screen shows you in a list view all of the ‘job operations’ that makeup the complete job:



To plan the operation, there are two ways to do it:
1. Via Edit Operation Icon (Individual Edit)

Click the edit operation icon:


Here you ‘plan’ the job by selecting the machine, operator, start and finish times:


Work through the entire job by planning all operations:


2. Via Edit Operation Checkbox (Bulk Editing)
Click the checkbox


On the top of the Screen click update selected


Click the checkbox, to update the fields you selected.

Click update

Machine and operator are updated as per what we selected above.


Sub Operations

Operations can have ‘Sub-Operations’.
Any operation with default sub operations will show and you can also add additional sub operations on the fly by clicking the ‘pencil’ icon
Click the Add Sub Operation


Fill in the details and Click the add button

These ‘Sub-Operations’ can be logged onto individually on the job bag:

Production Splits

Operations can be broken down into ‘production splits’. Click the ‘pencil’ option on the right:

This will open up a modal where you can create sub-operations and production splits

Select ‘Production Split’ by clicking the "Select" Dropdown:
Enter all the split information such as the name, default machine, start date and time, duration and split qty
(the split qty will calculate itself based in the split qty to the job qty):



Click ‘Add’ and the splits will be created:


Now you can reallocate the machines and operators and adjust times:

Operations Board

Staff then use the ‘Operations board’ to view work lists:


You can view by operators, departments, machines, job number and date ranges.



You can filter operation by dates:


When the "Field" dropdown option is set to "All" - IQ will check statements if any of the following lines are true;

PlannedStart >= Start and PlannedStart <= End
OR
PlannedFinish >= Start and PlannedFinish <= End
OR
DueBy >= Start and DueBy <= End


Any operations currently being worked on will have a ‘clock’ icon showing:


You can select to see ‘Running Only’ jobs on the list:


You can ‘Export’ the job list to a ‘csv’ file to get a printed report out of Excel:


A supervisor can use this board by multi selection options and dates to see what is happening in their department:


You can select ‘date ranges’ to search by and filter the date to search on start, finish or due date or a combination of all:


You can update the individual operation details:




Go directly back to the ‘Job Planning’ screen for that job:



Or open the ‘Production Time Entry’ screen:


Where you can review and edit time logged against a job:


Job Bag

Staff can use the dropdown to access the job bag where they will log on and off of operations:


The job bag will show all production splits and sub operations individually for operators to log onto:
