IMPOSITION OVERRIDE OPERATION


The following outlines how to create an operation that will override the number up on a quoted imposition.

 

In this example I have quoted a business card job:

 


 

When IQ has calculated the imposition, it has imposed the job '23' up:

 


 

In this situation, I want to override the imposition to have a max of only '21' up.
I create a operation as a 'Section' operation:

 


 

Add a pricing component to the operation with a $0 value.
NOTE: Without a $ value, the operation will fail to price and error when used on a quote.


 

Then, change the component screen to the 'Imposition Requirements' option:

 


 

Here, just add a 'Max Nup' override of '21' and 'Save' the option:

 


 

Back in the quote, you can select the new operation and apply it:



 

 

Now when you update the quote, the new operation will override the imposition number up:
