Manage Users

Manage Users

This is where you can update the details of any ‘user’ already created in printIQ.

All this is managed from the Users Menu under ‘Users’ from the main options headings at the top of the screen.

To edit user, click ‘Users’ and the following box will appear:

From here you can edit an account, disable it if it no longer needed, or Unlock it to reactivate.

To edit and add information to a user’s account, click ‘Edit’. The below options will appear.

Once complete, click ‘Save’.

Replacing a Salesperson with a new one

One example of the need to edit user options is where you have a new Account Manager (AM) taking over and you wish to transfer existing clients to the new AM and remove the user who no longer works for you.

There are a few things to consider

1. First, if you do not want all customers of the previous AM assigned to the new user, re-assign these customers   one by one to another AM first.

Do this by going to the Customers Menu > View Customers then choosing the customer you wish to reassign. When the customer details come up, scroll down to the Account Details section and change the AM assigned to them in the drop down.

2. Set up the new user and ensure that you make them an AM.

3. Choose the old AM in the list of users and switch the AM slider to NO.
A pop up will appear telling you how many customers are assigned to this AM and how many quotes
Select the new user/account manager from the drop-down menu to assign the customers and quotes to.

    4. Finally, go back to the old AM in the list of users click on the magnifying glass to the left of their name.
A dropdown menu will appear allowing you to disable their account.
Users cannot be deleted only disabled.

Locked User
A user will get locked out of IQ after 5 incorrect password attempts.

To unlock a user someone with user detail rights has to go into the user details page and unlock the specific user.

Once you select ‘Unlock’ the lock icon to the right of the user details will disappear.

Note most times someone gets locked out it is because they have forgotten their password. Once the user is unlocked you will need to reset the password as well.
