Production Updates
Stock Overhaul Project
This is the overview of the project. This can form the basis of the spiel for the development task.

On both the Pre-Production and the Production boards, we have added functionality to multi-select jobs and move their production order as a group.
Previously this could only be done one at a time.
Often a production process can be done on one of many presses or machines. For example, when a company has multiple of the same press or folder.
This is where the ‘Related Machines’ concept comes into play.
By default an operation is linked to a single press or machine.
By linking machines with the same capabilities together, the All Jobs, Pre-Production and Production boards can be used to swap a process from the quoted machine to a ‘related machine’.
We can now include any 'Production' status as a filter option on the Imposition Board.
Previously only 'Pre-production' status filters were available.
The production status filters can only be activated via the database so please contact support if you require any of these turned on.
We have added a component record to finishing operations to calculate time based on the number of material units applied by the operation.
eg. A job quantity of 500 with the 'Material Units Per Hour' set to 100 will apply 5 hours of time to the quote.
A new stock size can be added to a stock record directly from a quote.
This is handy when you are quoting a job and require a stock size that does not exist against the selected stock.
We have expanded the 'press options' to allow the setting of 'min & max plates'.
For flexographic presses where there are multiple cylinder options that govern what colours can and can't be printed,
this will help greatly reduce the number of paths calculated by excluding paths where the colour option exceeds the number of cylinders available.
New Operation Component Calculation - Tile Joins p/h
We have added a component record to finishing operations to calculate time based on the
length of print that includes 'tile Joins'.
For example this is used to calculate the time required to join the individual tiles into a finished product (outer edges are excluded from the calculations).
New Operation Component Calculation - Assembled Perimeter p/h
We have added a component record to finishing operations to calculate time based on the
outer perimeter length of the print. This calculation excludes all 'Tile Joins' .
For example this is used to calculate the time required to hem/sew the outer perimeter of the print (inner lengths from any tiling is excluded from the calculations).
We have added a material calculation that looks at the outer perimeter of a job and excludes any inner sides created from using 'tiling'.
For example this is used to calculate the material required to hem/sew the outer perimeter of the print (inner lengths from any tiling are excluded from the calculations).
We have added the option to use the 'Description 1' component field in conjunction with the 'Fail to Price' checkbox to add the fail reason,
to the quote screen to help estimators make the correct selections.
We have been working on ways to speed up the quote calculation process for the label workflow.
We have added additional component fields to 'Imposition Components' to expand the die library options.
These include the option of override the imposition block repeat in order to maximise the use of digital frames as well as the option to define repeat lengths for cylinders.
This helps reduce the number of paths calculated on presses with a large number of cylinder options.
In addition we have added a backend setting to eliminate oversize roll widths when the calculated number up is quoted on the narrowest stock option.
This also reduces the number of paths calculated therefore speeding up the calculation time on quotes.
Quoting Updates
By default the 'Orders Board' displays the total price exclusive of tax. We have added settings so this can be changed to display inclusive of tax.
On top of this you can now also override the default setting at a customer record level.
Often a job can split out into many sections. For example, a large page count booklet.
For consistency in quality, these can be required to all be produced on the same press.
We have added options to force all sections of the same kind to quote on the same press/workstyle regardless of quote price ramifications.
Sometimes a book is required to be folded and stitched 2up. For example, this his could be due to the small size of the booklet.
At a fold catalog level, we can now configure a fold as being 2up.
We have expanded the commissions functionality to allow the % to be editable at a quote level against each product.
You can now quote without freight.
Please contact our support team to enable this function.
Freight Updates
A freight option can be configured for internal use only.
Taking this one step further, an option can be configured to be available at a ‘job’ level only and not at a ‘quote’ level.
We have expanded the options on a delivery option to allow greater control of when an option is selectable.
Jobs in printIQ have a ‘Ship Date’.
The ‘Ship Date’ defaults to the same date as the ‘Due Date’ with the logic that the day the job is finished production, it is also ready to be shipped.
The auto set ‘Ship Date’ can be manually overridden at a ‘delivery record’ level if required.
This can be useful when a customer can accept delivery of goods on a weekend day but,
the factory setup in printIQ is configured for a 5 day working week (Monday to Friday).
printIQ can be set to allow the delivery quantity to be sent above the ordered quantity.
This is useful when overs have been printed and will be shipped with the job.
We have expanded on our consignment creation modal to allow greater flexibility when select cartons and pallets.
Freight - Performance Update
We have reviewed our freight integration layer to reduce the amount of rating calls going out to external systems, such as Easypost, TIG, Fedex and UPS.
This is to increase the performance and reliability of freight across the system, and reduce click-rate costs from external systems that charge for rating.
General Updates
You now have options on how to display quantities in Xero when an invoice is exported from printIQ.
Historically we have exported all quantities as '1'. This can now be changed to reflect the actual jobs quantity under certain conditions.
Often proof artwork can be approved but then a late change comes in from the client after the fact.
You can now reset the proof approval status, delete and replace the file for the approval process to begin again.
printIQ now supports the scanning of credit cards via the ‘Banquest’ gateway only.
Parameters are now supported in SPC (Single Product Creation) and for the import of products via a csv.
We have added a new setting to control the visibility of the 'Custom Products' option in the quote shopping cart.
Webhook
You can create a webhook subscriber and assign any of these Key Types to the below.
Webhook Keys
ProdStatusID = Product Status (eg. Print Ready)
SOStatusKey = Sales Order Status (eg Packed)
FDSKey = Freight Delivery Status (eg Ready to Dispatch)
IPOSKey = Inventory PO Status (Email Sent)
OPSKey = Outsource PO Status (Email Sent)
They will only be functional with the following webhook trigger types:
WHTKey WHTName
16 UpdateJobStatus
17 UpdateDispatchStatus
19 UpdateOrderStatus
21 InventoryPOStatusChange
22 OutsourcePOStatusChange
24 UpdateJobStatus_Xml
Webhook
Update 1
IGLACode included in the payload of the Outsource PO Webhook
"LinkedOperationSaleGLAccount": "" ,
"LinkedOperationCostGLAccount": ""
Update 2
We can now trigger Izenda Report Export to a hot folder via webhook
printIQ now supports the use of UTF-8 Unicode in all variable alphabetic fields in the database, extending it past the standard ASCII character set of 256 characters.
This allows the use of Cyrillic, Coptic, Hindi, Telugu, Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc character sets throughout the application.
