Jobs - Lockdown of 'On Hold' Jobs

Jobs - Lockdown of 'On Hold' Jobs

Introduction

For various reasons jobs in printIQ can and do get put ‘On Hold’.
This is a status that must be manually selected, it is not applied to jobs as part of any workflow.
This is both a Section and a Job status.

If the status of a section on a single-section job is updated, the job status also follows status automatically.
Placing the single section ‘On Hold’ will change the job status to On Hold and lock the job.

On a multi-section job, if a section is put on hold, the job status will not change.
The user can change the status of that section without requiring one of the roles (the job status updates to the earliest status of its sections).

IQ support staff can enable this setting for you upon request.
Please advise support of which ‘User Roles’ you would like to have the ability to change on-hold jobs back to a production status.
For all other user roles, On Hold jobs will be locked for editing with no ability to change the job status.

When ‘Lockdown job when On Hold’ is enabled and a job is set to On Hold,
the job is effectively locked from most inputs. Eg. Stock Pick, Operation Timing, Dispatch, Notes, Questions and References.

Actions available/not-available to "On Hold" Jobs"

Once a job has been put On Hold, most of the functionality in the Job Details screen is also disabled until the job status is changed back to a production status.

Invoices for On Hold jobs can also be consolidated, however credit notes cannot be raised against invoices containing jobs with a status of ‘On Hold’.
