IQconnect-Enfocus SWITCH - PDF Review Module support

Enfocus SWITCH offer a PDF Review Module. This module shares a secure GUID of the PDF proof. This secure GUID dispays the PDF in a web browser window with separations, page boxes and multiple pages access controls. By referring to this GUID in the PROOF_READY_TO_SEND EventType call from SWITCH, printIQ will insert the GUID into it's Proof - Ready Email Template. The email recipient will be linked to the PDF Review Module GUID instead of the typical printIQ Proof review screen. Typical proof review with approval / reject scenarios then flow as normal.
The Enfocus PDF Review Module DOES NOT support replace artwork functionality. For further information, please contact Enfocus.

Adjusting the SWITCH script

The standard Create Proof SWITCH flow for printIQ contains two SOAP calls to complete the flow (one for low resolution, and another for high resolution). Both SOAP calls send the EventType PROOF_READY_TO_SEND and reference a Switch Script 'printIQ2.sscript'. Create a new Declaration for the script to support the PDF Review Module.
  1. Name the Declaration "external_proof_url"
  2. Set as Inline Editor 'Single Line Text with Variables'
  3. Ensure the Validation is set to 'None'



Save the script and reload into the flow. You'll now have the new external_proof_url as a property you can pull the variable secure GUID from the PDF Review Module element.

Adjusting the printIQ Email template

Navigate to the Admin / Customise / Emails screen. Select the Proof - Ready email template.
You'll notice a Placeholder for {ExternalProofURL}. Insert this placeholder into the HTML body of your email template as required.
