Inventory Barcode Scanning - Stock Take

Inventory Barcode Scanning - Stock Take

Inventory items have unique barcode labels for each size of all items. They are prefixed with II (Inventory Item)

Locations now have barcodes on them. They are prefixed with IL (Inventory Location)

These are used within the Inventory Scanning screen for Stock Pick, Sales Order Pick, Stock Take and Barcode Links.

Stock Take

Navigate to Inventory  Scanning

Select ‘Stock Take’ from the Transaction Type selector.

The first entry expected on this screen is a Location.

This can be scanned in using a barcode reader or manually entered.

To manually enter the barcodes click the Manual Scan Mode…

To expose the barcode entry field…

Note: Location and Inventory Barcodes can still be scanned using a barcode reader while the Manual Scan Mode is enabled.

After scanning the location, the ‘Current Location’ field displays the set location (which is also displayed in the green transaction lines)

With the location set, any inventory items in the selected location can now be scanned.

You can scan them one after the other to load them onto the screen…

And then enter the updated stock quantity after scanning them all in…

And click ‘Confirm’ on each to update the stock quantity for that location.

Looking in Inventory at these items we can see the new QOH…

In our example above the Half Web Plate is also in a 2nd location (FACTORY) which we can also do a stock take on.

Repeating the steps above to set the location to IL.Factory...

And scanning the plate’s barcode again

Enter the quantity from the 2nd location…

And Confirm…

Back to Inventory we can see the total QOH is now 19…

With each location holding the updated quantity set during the Stock Take…
