Inventory Barcode Scanning – Stock Pick

Inventory Barcode Scanning – Stock Pick

A stock pick against a job can be performed in a couple ways :

OPTION 1 – Bill of Materials

From within a job you can print a ‘Bill of Materials’:

This contains any ‘managed’ materials that are part of the job. Each item has a its own barcode:

From the ‘Inventory Scanning’ screen, select the ‘Stock Pick’ option:

Scanning one of the barcodes registers the job, inventory location, stock item and quoted quantity:

You can change the pick quantity if required. Click ‘Confirm’ to lock in the pick.

OPTION 2 – Manual scanning from warehouse

In this option, you can print a copy of the ‘Production Job Bag (with barcodes)’:

The ‘Production Job Bag (with barcodes)’ contains a job number barcode:

On the ‘Inventory Scanning’ screen, scan this barcode. You will see the screen set to the scanned job:

Next the staff member would go into the warehouse and scan the ‘Inventory Location’ barcode for the area the stock is stored in.
*These barcodes are printed from the ‘Inventory Location’ screen and placed in the relevant areas in the warehouse:

On the ‘Inventory Scanning’ screen, scan the location barcode. You will see the screen update to show the scanned location:

Next step is to scan the inventory items barcode.

*These barcodes are printed from the inventory ‘Item Details’ screen and placed with the stock in the relevant areas in the warehouse:

On the ‘Inventory Scanning’ screen, scan the item barcode. You will see the screen update to show the scanned item details. Select the ‘Section’ to pick the stock against, enter the pick qty and confirm pick:

All picks can be reviewed or updated manually on the jobs ‘Stock Pick’ screen:
