Inline On Press / Plan On Press Operations

Inline On Press / Plan On Press Operations

You can mark a ‘section’ operation as part of an inline operation on the press.

The following options are found under the ‘Charge Options’ components:
Enable Inline Timing – This is for when you want the operation to be times individually from the print.
Inline with Press – This marks the operation to be capacity planned on the press the job will run on.
Combine Inline Makeready – This adds the makeready time into the press makeready time.

In this example we have the two operations, one for diecut and one for UV as inline on press:

You will see in the quote pricing grid, the inline operations are linked to the press. The makeready time is also a combination of the press makeready and the addition makeready from the operations. The speed is taken from the slowest speed set on the added operations:

**See below the same specs but with no inline finishing. The makeready is only based on the press and the speed from the press speed:

On the job, only the ‘Printing’ needs to be timed:

When capacity planning, there is only the printing operation. The inline operation details show at the bottom of the tag:

PLAN ON PRESS
You can also mark an operation as ‘Plan on Press’ via the checkbox in the ‘Production Options’:

This then adds as a separate operation to the job details:

It splits the main print from the ‘Washup’ and keeps the operations separate for timing and planning:
