General Settings - Admin screen for setting sequence numbers
Introduction
The ‘Manage Sequences’ screen allows you to set the sequence number format used in various areas of printIQ such as Quote numbers, Job numbers, Invoice numbers, etc
How to set up
From the ‘Admin’ heading, go into ‘Configuration’:
Under the ‘General’ heading is access to ‘Manage Sequences’:
Here you can see all sequence options and edit their format:
Click on the ‘Edit’ icon to open the options:
A dropdown will show with the following options:
A preview will show at the bottom of the modal
Site Prefix Setup
Use Site Prefix - (Only available on some options) Some sequences can pull the prefix from the site record.
The prefix defaults from the data entered into the ‘Product Code Prefix’ field in the ‘Settings’ section of the site:
Prefix – Sets the prefix to add in front of the number sequence.
Pad Numbers – Pads the number out with zeros to meet the ‘Amount of Digits’ set.
Amount of Digits – Specify the number of digits to be used.
The screen will display the ‘Last Used’ number in addition to a ‘preview’ based on the settings configured:
