FREIGHT – Sample/Proof/Overs Deliveries

FREIGHT – Sample/Proof/Overs Deliveries

When entering deliveries against a quote or job, you can mark an individual delivery as a sample/over/proof in the freight control.

In the printIQ setup these are called “Delivery Options”.

Freight admin
An admin screen for ‘Delivery Options’ is located under the ‘Manage Shipping’ screen.
Each option has a “Type”, which refers to “Proof, Samples or Overs”.
The “Standard” delivery option is locked, and only the name can be edited.

When editing/creating a delivery option there is a ‘Type’ dropdown.
This allows you to select the type of option you are creating. Using the type, customisation can be done for example to show ‘Proof’ quantities at the specific point in the job bag and  samples in a different spot etc…
The “Type” dropdown cannot be changed for the options below:.

Freight Control

When samples/proofs/overs have been enabled, a pencil button shows next to the quantity in a delivery.
**This is only available when you select ‘Multiple’ shipping options**
This allows you to mark the delivery line as “Samples/Proofs” etc depending what you have setup.
These quantities are not part of the order quantity so you can order 5000 business cards and then 5 samples:

In this example I have added 2 deliveries. 1 for 5 samples, and the other for the 5000 quoted quantity.

**You can also click the “Add more” button to add more delivery options later:

Job Details

On the job you will see any additional qtys and the delivery type next to the job qty:

In the dispatch tab you can see which delivery is marked as a Sample or Proof:

**You can still edit deliveries and add additional options at job stage

**If ‘overs’ are to be invoiced to your customer you can either edit the job and adjust the quantity or add a misc charge.

If there are more than the one job/items as part of that delivery, you will see a line at the foot of the delivery – ‘Other items for this delivery’:

Click the arrow to open the dropdown to see the other items:

Dispatch Board

On the ‘Dispatch Board’ when you open an address, you can see against the job number what delivery type it is assigned:

You have the ability to ‘Filter Address’ to make grouping deliveries together easier:

Only deliveries for the selected address will now show. You will see the address filter at the top. Click the ‘x’ to cancel the filter:
