Freight - Pallet Control & Pallet Labels
Introduction
Cartons are auto-calculated by printIQ when quoting based on pre-set rules.
Cartons and pallets are configured under ‘Manage Shipping’.
Pallets can be created:
Cartons can then be linked to pallets where a min/max carton qty per pallet is specified:
At a job level, when generating a consignment, pallets are assigned and can also be edited.
Example
We have a quote that printIQ calculates to uses 80 A4 Cartons:
As per above, the A4 carton is linked to the ‘Wooden Pallet’. Each ‘Wooden Pallet’ can hold a max of 48 cartons.
At the job level, when creating a consignment:
The modal defaults to use 2 ‘Wooden Pallet’:
The default calculation can be overridden in many of the above fields.
You can change the number of boxes, the number if items per box, the pallet, the number of boxes per pallet, and the cartons used.
Setting
The default setting display on the consignment model is controlled by the internal setting ‘Consignment Default Package Option’.

None - This is the printIQ default. The ‘Package Options’ checkbox is OFF:
Pallet – Defaults the ‘Package Option’ ON and sets the default to ‘Pallet’ where a pallet selector is available:
Outer Box – Defaults the ‘Package Option’ ON and sets the default to ‘Outer Box’ where a carton selector is available:
