Freight - Internal Only Options

Freight - Internal Only Options

A freight option can be configured for internal use only.
Taking this one step further, an option can be configured to be available at a ‘job’ level only and not at a ‘quote’ level.

The ‘Manage Shipping’ screens tab ‘Delivery Options’ lists all the configured options available for selection on a quote and/or job:

On a quote these are selectable when using ‘multiple’ delivery options:

On a job, you can add deliveries under the ‘Dispatch’ tab:

You can add a new delivery by clicking the green ‘price’ button on the existing delivery:

From the ‘+ Add more’ button:

Additional deliveries can be added, and the delivery option selected:

When adding a new ‘Delivery Option’ or editing an existing one, you can configure how the option is accessed via the checkbox options:

Show in quoting
Flags if the option is selectable from a quote. If OFF, the option is only available against a job.
This is useful for delivering ‘overs’ where the quantity is not known at a quoting stage.

Show to customer
Flags if the option is available with customer only access.
This is useful if you want options that can only be selected by internal users.

Hide From Job Summary
This flags the delivery to be removed from the customer facing ‘Order Details’ screen:

We recommend using this in conjunction with the ‘SHOW IN QUOTING’ option checked OFF.
Without this a customer can still see the delivery when ‘Accepting’ a quote:

This function is used when a delivery is added against a ‘job’ for sending outsourcing to a third party.
As it is only available and added against the job, the customer will not see the delivery on any of their screens.
