Freight – Allow over delivery of ordered quantity

Freight – Allow over delivery of ordered quantity

How to set up

printIQ can be set to allow the delivery quantity to be sent above the ordered quantity.
This is useful when overs have been printed and will be shipped with the job.
Globally this function is controlled by a back-end setting.
Contact support if you would like global function enabled

The global setting can be overridden at a customer record level using the setting:

Example

We have a job with an order quantity of 120,000:

During production overs were printed and the final quantity produced is 120,500.
As the customer is happy to take the overs, the delivery quantity now needs to be updated.
Click on the delivery’s ‘price’ button to access the edit options:

Click the ‘Edit’ button:

Override the ‘Delivery Quantity’:

Then ‘Update Delivery’:

The delivery quantity is now updated:

The delivery quantity updates without altering the original order quantity.

This ensures if the job is copied at a later date for a new order, the original quantity is retained

Partial Dispatch

Once the dispatch quantity has been updated, if you create a partial dispatch, you will see the available qty to send on the ‘Deliver Quantity’ field:

Here we partial deliver a quantity of 20,000:
