Exclude Section Side and Job Operations from Job Markup type Markup Calculations

Exclude Section Side and Job Operations from Job Markup type Markup Calculations

Operations of type ‘Job Markup’ allows you to set markup rates for quoting.

These markups were applied to all Cost+ operation prices on the quote.

printIQ can now flag specific operations (Section, Side and Job) to be excluded from the Markup calculations from Job Markup type operations.

One example would be for Turn Around Times.

With the component references, you offer a selection of Turn Around Times.

Note. The ‘Factor’ used in Job Markup Operations should only refer to the markup factor and not the total + markup (ie 0.4 = 40% markup 1.4 = 140% markup)

This markup is calculated from the COST+ prices on the quote. It allows for any component-based markups to be applied before calculating the TAT Markup

We can now specify certain operations to be Excluded from these markup calculations.

(note: the operation setting applied only to Job Markup operations. It does NOT exclude the operation(s) from overall markups)

On an operation:

(this setting is defaulted to ‘Off’ when creating operations)

Create your quote as usual and check your pricing…

In this example, the operations Section Finishing and Design (No Markup) are excluded from Job Markup Operation calculations.

Applying the TAT (Turn Around Time) operation and selecting 4-5 days should apply a 10% markup to the Costs + prices above - excluding the 2 operations.

And re-calculate.

TAT calculates $12.30…

Checking the calculation:

Paper Stock Draw 95.84

Pre-Trim 15.09

Final Trim 12.07

TOTAL to Markup 123.00 @ 10% = $12.30.
