CHILI - Pre-populating Variables



Chili – Set User Variables to Auto-Populate Templates


For Variable Data products, managed with the Chili interface, we can now pre-populate certain fields based on the Users details.


The following fields have been enabled to pass their value to the Chili product when the Chili Field Name matches those shown below…


PrintIQ Field Chili Field Name(s)

First Name "first name"

Last Name "last name", "surname"

Email "email", "email address"

Phone "phone", "phone no", "phone number"

Fax "fax", "fax no", "fax number"

Job Title "job", "title", "job title"


When configuring the variable fields in the Chili product, use the Chili Field Names above to automatically bring those values thru from the logged in user.

Not the Field Names are NOT case-sensitive.





When a customer user logs in and selects a Variable Data Chili Product, the value in the user’s definition for the above fields…



 Is brought through onto the product automatically…





These fields can still be edited by the end user as per a normal Chili session.
