How to update your stock pricing using the stock price update spreadsheet.
Step 1: In Admin / Configure Factory click into your stocks and search for the supplier stocks that you would like to update.
Step 2: Export the displayed stock list that you have searched which will appear in an exported spreadsheet. This is like creating a backup of your current pricing.
On this spreadsheet your price units are shown not in a price per 1000 but in a price per ‘unit’ qty that the stock is charged/picked in
In the below example, the ‘per 1000’ cost of the stock is $191.
We have to order in units of 500 (ream wrapped). This makes the ream price (CostPrice) $95.50
In this case we do not want to charge the customer in lots of 500 but in a ‘per sheet’ price. This makes the (PricePerChargeUnit) at $0.191 ($95.50 divided by 500)
Step 3: Save the export to your documents so that if any issues occur when updating the stock price you can re upload your original stock pricing with this exported spreadsheet.
Step 4: In IQ click on Stock Bulk Price Update and download the ‘Stock Bulk Price Update’ csv spreadsheet.
*You can email this to your supplier to fill our or follow the below process:
Step 5: When you have downloaded the Stock Price Update template. There are only 4 Columns that need to be filled in. IQ Supplier Code, Stock Reference, Cost Price Per 1000 and Sell Price Per 1000.
Step 6: The IQ Supplier Code is the code in the exported spreadsheet under column Z ‘Default Supplier’.
Copy and paste this Code into the IQ Supplier Code in the Stock Price Update Spreadsheet.
Step 7: The Stock Reference is the code that IQ finds to make the price change for the specific stock. This code is in the exported stock spreadsheet under column Y ‘Supplier Reference’. This is also the code that the supplier uses in their system for the stock item.
Copy and Paste the codes into the stock price update spreadsheet under Stock Reference.
Step 8: Change the cost price per 1000 and sell price per thousand to the new pricing you have receive from your supplier.
Original Price from exported stocks.
New pricing to be updated by per 1000 Cost Price and Sell Price is the same. IQ will convert the unit prices from a per 1000 price to match the unit prices already set to the stock.
Step 9: Save your Stock Bulk Price Update spreadsheet.
Step 10: Go into IQ and click on ‘Choose file’ and then choose the file that you have just saved to update your stock pricing.
Once the file is chosen click verify and then update.
Step 11: Once price has been updated do some checks on a few stocks to make sure the price has updated correctly.
The system will update any stocks that exist in the system that are in the spread sheet. Please note if the stocks do not exist you will get a list below stating that ‘Stock XXX has not been updated as it does not exist’.
If you are wanting any of the stocks that do not exist created in the system then please follow the process for creating new stocks.
Once this is done your Price will be updated on both the Inventory and the Quote stock records.
